I'd worked some of the usual suspects from home and went out for a walk after lunch and took the ATS-3 with me. Put up a 33 foot wire and didn't hear much. Then Scotland came right out of the mist! GM3OXX was a nice 559 on 20 meters with 1 watt and we exchanged ARCI numbers. George gave me a 579. I took the antenna right down. That just made my day. thanks George! Jim W1PID |
