It seems that there are plenty of cordless power tool around the shop these days. My Black and Decker cordless drill has a nominal 14.4 volt battery pack that I recently used it to operate my SW20plus. When fully charged the battery voltage was around 16 volts. After an hour or so of operation the voltage was still about 15.5. The battery pack weight is about 1-1/4 pounds so if your watching ounces it might be a bit heavy for an extended backpacking trip.
