I'm going to put up an Inverted Vee antenna for 30M, and a j-pole for 2M/70cm using the same center support: a metal TV mast, (aka pipe). The UHF antenna will be mounted at the top of the mast, the 30M lower down.
Is it OK to attach the top of the Inverted Vee, using a rope-and-pulley arrangement, directly on the mast ... or should I keep it away from the metal mast to avoid coupling? If so, what distance from the mast should the HF antenna be?
All suggestions welcomed!
