If some of you are interested in a challenging homebrew project look at the QRP 2004 transceiver. The QRP 2004 is an all-band Direct Conversion Transceiver based on the
R2/T2 designs from KK7B. It is aimed primarily at amateur use on the HF bands and supports CW, LSB and USB modes on all HF amateur bands from 160m to 10m. It also offers general coverage receive capability, with continuous tuning from132kHz to 30MHz with a 10Hz tuning resolution. Details at: www.qrp4fun.de/qrp2004/

Dominic Baines has started a Yahoo Group for those interested. ( see link below ) He is also organizing a group purchase of parts.

This is not going to be a step by step kit, but is aimed at the experienced homebrewer. However the Yahoo Group can serve to assist those new to a project at this level.
