And he did write a great DX column back when QST was in the smaller format! I've been a member of the ARRL since Jan 58 and the times that I have disagreed with them verbally and in writing are many! Do I like what they have done with QST? No - I too liked the section activities and the long contest results. And, yes, I can look them up on the web and in the case of the contest results I can get a whole lot more detail ..... But I still want the results in the magazine along with the station activities. But we know those pages were replaced with advertising! Would I consider leaving the League - dropping QST, etc? No way! No chance! No more than I would consider leaving QRP-ARCI! The League is our (Amateur Radio) voice with the FCC even though we do not always agree with it, they do (in my mind) do a lot of good! And if we quit the League there is one less number that they represent. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. 72 73 Hank K8DD And I'm a Life Member ..... There is only one way for me to quit ..... and I hope that's not an option for a very long time! |
