3:30 P.M. Q & A session, what information do you want/need for
successful QRP operating?
Friday evening, we will have a kit building session for QRP & other
interested ops, with expert, experienced builders to help and give tips
for success. We will have a limited supply of VE3DNL Marker
Generator Kits from the Ft. Smith QRP Club available for purchase to
build during the event. Much thanks to Jay Bromley W5JAY for helping
us with the kits. The time will be announced later but will probably be
around 7 - 7:30 pm.
The Club will have QRP display tables both Friday (depending on
what time I can sneak up there) and Saturday with vendor information
(have you sent yours yet?) and QRP Club information. We currently
have info for Small Wonder Labs, Kanga US, Ten Tec, and MFJ. If you
would like your information to be a part of our display then email me
ASAP. We will also have sample newsletters from the St. Louis QRP
Society, QRP ARCI, G-QRP, NorCal, CW Operators Club (Australia),
the Japan QRP Club, and (of course) the Iowa QRP Club. If you would
like to send us a sample of your clubs newsletter we would be happy to
add it to our display.
The Club will be giving away a Tick Surface Mount Keyer Kit donated by
Embedded Research (much thanks to Gary Diana N2JGU!). Be sure and stop by
our table and register for the drawing!
There will also be a QRP luncheon Saturday noon (dutch treat).
Time and place to be announced.
This is going to be a great time and I hope to see you in Sioux City! A big
thanks
to Jerry Huldeen (WB0T) who has coordinated all the QRP events and spent
many
hours putting together a very class program!
