Very interesting. Ain't heard like that since last time I had a beam & 10m - maybe 20 years or more. But in the middle of it all was this weird noise (heard, if memory serves, from about 28 MHz down) that sounded like a sweep generator playing across every band. Woop woop woop. I wondered if it weren't some kind of ionospheric sounder, being as I live about 6 miles for a Strategic Air Command, eLint-plane-harboring USAF base. Comes and goes, but I can hear it solid through 75m. And then I thought "BPL?" What a coincidence that would be. Ain't heard once of it being implimented hereabouts but then I live in Clark County, where even sociopathic parents carry AK47s in their cars. Anybody heard similiar noises? 73 Nils |
