For whatever it's worth: a couple of years ago (when band conditions were better), I bought a Super Antenna MP-1, altho I had doubts as to whether it would work well.

Brought it home, clamped it on the edge of my workbench, tuned it up, and my first QSO was to Italy with 5 watts, from near Portland, OR,

I was convinced.
