I bought an MFJ switcher specifically for my IC-706IIG and I think it's great. Not sure of the model but it's about 25 amp rated and has two meters. I hear NO rf noise from it. I'm not crazy about fans, but I guess this one is as quiet as any.

The small size and weight are great too. I got a cheap aluminum case from Lowes and cut out spots in the foam for the '706 and the P/S.
