Mike Gipe (K1MG)- (Sarasota, CA.) was a SUPER FOX from 0100 - 0300 UTC, Thursday, December 2 - (Wed. U.S. time). Band conditions were pretty good, but nothing to brag about. Mike worked several hounds at VERY fast code speeds (i.e., NU7Y as 42 WPM), especially early on in the hunt. Although Mike's pre-hunt "Announcement" specified that he would be listening ONLY UP at least one kHz, and out as far as 2 Khz, some hounds called Mike either squarely on top of (or very close to) his transmitting frequency. Some hounds were even calling Mike on the wrong side of his transmitting frequency although he "announced" that he would NOT be listening on that side. Notwithstanding, Mike was SUPER. Thanks, Mike. Your excellent morse code operating skills will be difficult for future FOXII to emulate, me included.

72/73, Tom, N1TP, Naples, FL., QRP-L # 1317. "FOX TO BE" on 25 February from 0200 - 0400 UTC.
