Yup Doug... it makes a difference. You need to calculate
how many turns the larger core needs to provide the 1.5 uH.
Different size cores have different Al values and they are
not the same. It really is a simple thing to figure out...
if you have the formula:

Turns= 100 x square root of (desired L(uH)/Al value)

the Al value of a t25-6 core is 26
the Al value of a T37-6 core is 30

I'll let you do the math. If you have a problem, just ask.

This info about cores in contained the a publication put out
by the ARRL called "The ARRL Electronics Data Book. It is
about 12 buxs. This info is also available on some of the
websites that sell cores I think...probably Amidon. But,
the formula above will work just fine.
