I am a little slow getting to read the qrp-f. Dipoles and random wires in attics do work and in some casses work well. I have a 44foot dipole feed with 300ohm and a 70 foot random wire in my attic. Work 90% phone with 125 to 135 countries in the last two years on 20 and 17 meters plus been first in the Va. section in the ARRL 10 meter contest the last four years.

Does outside work better? Yes, but some of us can,t get outside, so the attic works. Put the dipole up and have fun.
