I would use a dipole - easier to feed with coax.
With a longwire you will need a tuner - probably in the attic so you could feed it with coax.
Unless, of course, your shack is in the attic!!
QRP SSB contacts, as a general rule, can be harder to make than CW contacts because there is much less crowding on CW and CW is easier to copy than SSB at marginal levels.
