QRP was well represented at the Tokyo Ham Fair this weekend.

I was impressed by the simplicity of the 7MHz VXO-controlled "Meeting Mate" transceiver which is capable of 500 mW output on the low end of 40 meters.

There were also a number of QRP projects entered in the annual homebrew contest.

Yaesu and Icom seemed to be attracting the most attention with their dueling $10,000 rigs. I was surprised that Elecraft's Japanese distributor wasn't at the show this year. (There was a KX1 at the QRP club booth.)
