Message Posted: The weather was so nice when I got home from work yesterday, I decided to set up shop on the tailgate of the light pickup. Brought out the Icom 703 (still working great since I replaced the xmtr driver FET, Q150, last August), and attached the ten meter resonator to the Hustler whip. BTW, since doing the key-jack grounding trick, no more problems with the 703's internal keyer. According to several beacons, ten meters was wide open but I couldn't raise anyone near 28060...or elsewhere...so I fired up on twenty and made a few contacts there. Gee, after playing with my haywired projects for so long, it was relaxing, using the store-bought '703 for a while... 72. Bill, N4QA
