Not to belabor the point but it seems to me that
what goes around comes around. The 'fist' freq is
7058 and the Canadian ssb net is 7055 - who has been
operating there the longest? No one really owns a freq
and on other bands, the fist group has done the very
same thing to the QRP frequencies - in existence since
the early 1960's, and totally wiped them out in many
cases. Especially the 3.560, 10.116, 14.060, 21.060
and 28.060. Trying to work qrp can not be done in
that range when more than one or two fists with their
qro signals are present. It is as if they don't care,
and have never cared for qrp operations, for the most
part and not being educated about the qrp frequencies by the fist organization, take no precautions to
reduce the problem. And as one fist official (wz8t)
pointed out, use the filter in the receiver - difficult to do if the offending station is within
the passband of the filter or on top of the operating
frequency. And in the past, all the fists people have
managed to do is make excuses, not resolve the problems
exacerbated by certain members.
