Last night at the Midland Amateur Radio Club meeting Jim Kortge, K8IQY, presented his 2N22/6. Quite an interesting piece of work, and Jim is a great speaker.

Jim also brought a pair of /40's and I brought mine. This was a chance for folks to see a real work of art (Jim's), and a working radio about as ugly as it can get and still work (mine). Jim claims he's seen worse, but I would have to see that to believe it!

Jim also brought along reprints of the QRPp article about the rig. I built mine entirely from Jim's web page - if I had the article, it would have been 100 times easier. Paul Harden had tons of wonderful drawings. It's worth buying the reprint just to see those drawings.

If any of you get a chance to hear Jim speak, or to view these remarkable rigs, sieze it! Very worthwhile.

In any event, it was a great evening, and I've already received emails carrying on about how good it was.

Thanks, Jim!
