I stopped by the local Best Buy this evening, and noticed that the spot where they used to sell NiCd's was filled, instead, with NiMH's. The AA NiMH Batteries are rated at 1200mAH - seems pretty decent. A pair of them with a charger, was about $15. The charger had a switch to also charge NiCd's. The C and D cells were rated at 2.2AH. I was surprised that the C's had the same capacity as the D's. What I didn't see was a charger that could take enough of them to come up with 12 or so volts. Seems like 2.2AH would do my 2N2/40 for a good long time. So, does anyone have a circuit for charging NiMH's? Is it a lot different than NiCd's?
