Posted by: KB7MBI Posted On: 11/07/03 Subject: WA QRPers ONLY Message Posted: We have identified over 40 QRP operators to date in WWA. We hope to have our first major gathering at the Puyallup Electronics Show and Hamfest. There will be two technical sessions and hopefully a guest speaker. No, this is not a club (as of yet). If it was I guess I would have to call it H.E.L.P. (Hams Expounding Low Power)--smile I wanted to call your attention to the group on YAHOO This is designed to have basically Pacific Northwest issues and information passed and will supplement the QRP-L and QRP-F lists already in existence (not replace them). If you are looking for a local QRPer to operate with during an event or want to call for an informal coffee meeting this will be a good source for communicating. Note you do not have to be registered with YAHOO to get the mailings or to send messages to the group. the site noted above will list the most recent messages. To access the archives you wll have to REGISTER with YAHOO be we are looking at changing that. If you have any questions regarding the GROUP please direct them to Terry wx7s@cfsystems.org You folks in Eastern WA feel free to join in also. Because we are so spread out hopefully we can get several cells going statewide with one annual gathering for all the folks. We have been successful in getting more folks involved in the various QRP events especially the sprints and MQFD. Alan KB7MBI in Woodinville, WA |
