I experienced the same problem with the RF output. I bought my 703 in May from AES in Cleveland and it failed about 2 months later. I do not have a schematic, but I opened the radio up looking for bad solder joints. I found that I could gently press around the RF driver and output stages and the output would come back. I finally decided it was the transistor before the finals, and so I touched up the solder connections on all 3 leads and the heat sink tab. The RF output stayed on and the radio worked fine for another month but then quit again. By this time I started to realize that the problem was internal to that transistor. After retouching the leads the radio worked for a short time but failed again. Thanks to the posted emails on this site I have the part number.
Thankyou.
Brian.
