Just to follow up. I set up a basic system. One 50 Watt panel (approx 3 A) a Trace C40 Charge Controller ( 40 A ) and two 6 V golf-cart batteries in series. It's up and running, powering my rig. I also picked up a small (750 W) inverter and a 5 A gel cell. Life is good and getting better.
