Hey David! I think your adventure is cool as all heck! Absolutely right on about bringing the fun back. I just got my Argo back from Ten Tec after a check-out, and I am having some fun with it tonight. Also just got a Icom 703 (check out my review on this page), and am looking forward to QRP/FD. Scored a couple of solar panels on e-bay, and now have to learn some new things to make them my power source. One good thing leads to another!

QRP makes every contact seem like a miracle. How can that NOT be fun? Every night I sit in my shack working the world on 5 watts and feeling like I am Marconi himself! The bands have been in lousy shape and QSB is a standard report it seems. But that only serves to make that 569 an even more important achievement.
