I have a single tall tree near my house, and it looks tall enough to hang a 40m dipole antenna vertically maybe 80 ft off the ground. Is a vertical dipole better or worse than a sloper or horizontal dipole?

It seems like it would be omnidirectional with a low take off angle.

Right now my dipole is horizontal, about 20 ft high. I have been getting a lot of 559 reports. I'm wondering if pulling it up vertically would improve my 2W signal. I might be able to get it up about 40 ft horizontally. Which would be better for DX, vertical at about 80 ft or horizontal at 40 ft?
