The chat room is Java Script which is quite slow in loading. (About 60k of scripting is copied from the server to your /temp file on your hard drive.

The first thing that will appear is the html scripts (QRP-F Chat Room) on top of the page and a message on the bottom of the page. The large grey area you see in the center is where the Java Scripts will appear when finally loaded. Boxes will appear asking for your call & e-mail address with a connect button. After hitting the connect button it takes only a few seconds to enter the room.

If everything is working on your end it would take up to two minutes. The room is *NOT a private room. Other chat rooms exist on the same server and from time to time strangers will pop in and out. Generally I just ignore them and they leave quickly. However the nature of us hams is that we like to talk. Strangely enough the other chat rooms on the system are associated with witchcraft, so some of them have some pretty weird handles.

Many people on the forum have gone to the chat room and found it empty even though the room may had had 50 visitors (QRP-F) in one day, but it never seems to be at the same time.

I would suggest for people who would like to try it out, check in about 2000Z, atleast that will be a starting point until the room develops its own character.
