Hi Larry, sorry to hear about your HW-8 problems.

Somehow I remember someone using this 5-17pf air
cap for a HW-8 replacement, but can't find the
air cap range info in my notes.

You might check this out and see if it will work.
It is about 1/2 way down on Dan's website. Maybe
do a 'find' for 5-17 and it will take you to the
air cap.
