As I recall, a neigbhor kid showed me how to make a one-transistor radio back in the mid-60's. He also told me about "RADIO SHACK". I never got over the fascination, either. He used himself as an antenna. The CK-22 is in the same class as GE-2, GE-9, 2SAxxx, 2SBxxx transistors, and would excel as small solar-powered rcvr parts. You could use the cell from your calculators! I wonder who'll make the first vfo rig for these oldies?
