Have you tried 28.058 that is the FISTS calling frequency on 10, also like another posted, that cabel could be causing a lot of loss, ck the ARRL.org site and do a search for antennas for starters, you'll find a lot of good articles there and the ARCI web site as well as the NJQRP club site there's a bunch of good info on those sites. Antennas and feedlines don't have to cost a bunch of bucks keep it simple also ladder line or tv 300 ohm with a good 4-1 baulin can be your friend on QRP.
