If you are responding to calls or tail-ending, your modus operandi is the correct one for QRP. You should have more than four contacts and I tend to blame the antenna. The G5RV gets mixed reviews. I also agree with those who questioned what your roof is made of. Checking your feedline is also a really good idea.

A vertical (preferably with radials) is an option. If the roof material isn't metallic then dipoles cut for the band(s) you want to operate are another possibility.

At home I have a 40/15 meter dipole up about 30-35 feet and I use a tuner (typically a Mizuho KX-QRP) for the other bands. I get out well on 10, 12, 17, and 20 as well as the expected 40 and 15. My rigs run anywhere from 200mW to 10W. I rarely turn on the "big" 100W rig. I don't need it.

Please don't give up on QRP. A lot of us are quite successful at it and your station is more than adequate.
