10m is an excellent band for QRP when it's open. Note that when AEA chose to import and rebrand the Mizuho MX series handhelds, they initially chose only to bring in the 10m version. The success of the 10m AEA DX-Handy led to the 6m version being imported. 2W on a handheld actually works fine on 10m SSB/CW when the band is wide open.

My experience is that the higher in frequency you go (up to 6m) the less power makes a difference when talking about F and e layer propogation. FWIW, 12 and 15 meters are also outstanding.
