The Ten Tec would do 50 watts in a pinch. The K2 has a receiver that is incredible, antenna tuner, and internal battery. It is the most complete ready to go all round winner. It is 3 to 4 times as much money and a kit. I am thinking to try the new Ten Tec next.......but my K2 will be with me forever.
