The following are for sale, all plus shipping from 30004. There are some other goodies, too, but the list is a bit long to post -- email direct if you'd like a copy.

Thanks,

Steve AA4BW

RECEIVERS, TRANSMITTERS

Ramsey Electronics Model HR-80 80-meter receiver, built, in matching Ramsey
case. Works fine. With original documentation. $22.

Vectronics 40-meter receiver. Neatly built by me. Not in case. With original documentation. Works fine. $20

Vectronics 40-meter transmitter, VXO controlled, includes crystal. Neatly built by me. Not in case. With original documentation. Works fine. $20

KITS

A real find: Howes DR4 Digital Display kit in original box from Townsend Electronics. Includes Howes DFD-4 “digital frequency counter kit with programmable offset and up/down counting facilities to enable it to be used as a frequency readout for superhet type receivers and transceivers.” Includes PMB4 “programming matrix for use with the DFD4 digital frequency counter. It enables six different offset frequncies to be programmed and selected by the use of a six way switch.” Also includes nice silk screened Howes CAM4 case and hardware kit which includes the rotary switch, cabinet, etc. If you’ve built a Howes kit before you know that they are not “Heath” style and do require some chassis drilling, but they pose no problems for builders who have a bit more experience. Parts bags are unopened, and the box includes documentation. I’ve been looking at this one over the last few weeks as I’ve been packing for the move, hesitating to add it to the moving sale (I really like it!), but the reality is that I’d most likely not get around to building it for a long time – thus it needs a good home. $70

Electronic Rainbow OSC-2 Code Practice Oscillator kit. New, unbuilt, unopened. $4

Ramsey Aircraft Band Receiver Kit, neatly built by me but never powered up and tested (if you’ve built many kits, you understand…!) In original bag. With original documentation/instructions. $20

624 Kits "VFO-2" VFO board. This company used to operate out of South Carolina and produced a number of very nice kits. I built this one a good many years ago, checked it out just now and it works fine. Very stable! The VFO circuit uses two FETs (MPF 102 or 2N4416) and a 2N2222 buffer. The circuit also includes a "shift" feature, and an onboard trimmer allows setting the VFO as desired in the band of interest. You can fine-tune the tuning range by fiddling with the caps on the board or by putting an NP0 cap in series with the air variable to reduce tuning range. If you've homebrewed VFOs, you'll know what to do to get the range and tuning rate you desire. I'll include the air variable that I used to use with it. I will also include the cabinet that was with it, a new/undrilled/still in box and plastic bag Radio Shack “Deluxe Metal Utility Cabinet” that I’d planned to put it in. The cabinet is NOT drilled, so you'll need to do your own metalwork and add your own connectors, etc. Includes original documentation. $26
