Does it receive USB/LSB? If so, things are easier. Most obvious, is the mic gain control turned up? I run mine at about 1:00 with the factory microphone. Is the microphone element good? Try another microphone or inject an audio tome into the mic input. POst what you have found or done and we can go from there.
