I've posted reviews of the MX-7S, MX-21S, and MX-2 on eHam. I'll get around to doing more shortly.

My overall impression is that the 40m version covers too little of the band. The rigs in general are great for SSB, but only so-so for CW. There is no QSK or sidetone, forcing one to add the CW-2S sidecar for decent CW operation. That unit's tone is really harsh. (Anyone remember the relaxation oscillator in an HW-16?) 40m and 75m are not well suited to SSB QRP operation, so I have very mixed feelings about the MX-7S and MX-3.5S. I'll be trying PSK31 with the MX-7S shortly and we'll see how that goes.

The MX-21S (15m) and MX-18S (17m) are just brilliant. The MX-18S covers the whole band, and the MX-21S offers 100kHZ (in two 50kHz segments). These bands work well for QRP SSB, and since CW operation is tolerable, these are rigs I can highly recommend.
