Trying to identify mystery QRP boards

Subject:  Trying to identify mystery QRP boards

Hi all -- while cleaning up, I've found three PC boards that appear to be for a QRP rig project but are unidentified except for cryptic designations on the boards. One board says "TXR 978 RX" and one says "TXR 978 TX." The third appears to read "TXR 978 VFO."

My guess is that they're from the 9/78 issue of something, but as I recently gave my back issue stacks to a local science center ham station I'm at a loss to identify them. Can anyone help and perhaps point me to the article describing them?
