Subject:  Mystery 30 Meter Qrp Rig

Message Posted:

I am trying to determine the origin and history of a QRP rig which I recently aquired. It has been suggested that it possibly could be a W7EL design and originally sold by a now defunk Company called Small Parts Center. It is an elegant piece of gear, very well constructed with first class parts. It has some features which are found on only the sophisticated QRP rigs of today. There is absolutely no identification on the rig except on the rear of the single sided glass pcb there are two areas which say"SPC" and "TRX". These letters are etched and part of the original copper. I have available good photos which I can send via the net if anyone might have a clue as to where this rig came from. The receiver works fine, but the transmitter has no output. I only have DMM, so trying to troubleshoot the transmitter string is really tough without a schematic. I hope someone knows and is familiar with this gear...thanks for taking the time to read this...Blake Kilburn KI6US
