I use to live in an apartment and I used a Hustler Mobile antenna and ran radials around the base boards. Mostly worked 40 and 20. The fact that it was an upstairs apartment didn't hurt either. I had a 5/8 wave 2m mag mount on the window air conditioner (after moving it from my refridgerator) also.
