Battery for portable operation

Subject:  Battery for portable operation

I am planning a two week backpacking trip in early July and will be taking a small wonders SW20+ along. I plan to operate about an hour per day using a set of 9 AA alkaline batteries. I will also take a spare set along. The SW20+ draws about 20mA on rcve and 500 mA xmit.

Does anyone have an experiences that would indicate if I am going to have enough power for the trip?
