FT-7 keying problems

I have a strange problem with both my FT-7 and FT-7B. When working CW the break in delay is not constant. During the first characters the delay is OK, then the delay decreases down to almost zero after a couple of words... Very strange, and the same problem with both rigs! I have tried to switch the capacitor in the keyer circuit, but no difference. I am now thinking it might be a RF feedback problem. Anyone else had the same problem?
