Helpful hints from archives, other hams and Bob Dyer were fruitless. I'd checked and rechecked everything....I thought. I relented and returned it to Bob-at his suggestion-for review. A couple of trips around the board and he discovered a solder splash(rule number one: check your work-I thought I had) on one of the pins at card edge. Voila, the xmtr tunes and produces 1.7w! All this for the cost of shipping! I responded in kind to Bob but felt a need to acknowledge the level of service to as many as would listen. I thought I was just buying a hot little radio-never thought I'd get the whole company! Wilderness Radio and QrpBob get my vote for service above and beyond! Thx 73 |
