Posted by: Ron Polityka Posted On: 03/11/01 Subject: AT Summary of 3/11/01 Message Posted: Hello, Well today I made my way through 3 inches of snow and in some places the mud to my operating location on the AT. The wx forecast was to be in the 50' F I did get a chance to make 1 schedule QSO on 40 meters, 6 QSO's on 15 meters and 1 QSO on 20 meters. I also was looking for someone on 17 meters but I had no luck in locating that station. Hopefully the weather will be much better in April. I will be able to go out earlier and stay much longer in April. The 15 meter band was open to the western US. I did listen around for the Europeans but I did not hear anyone. So hopefully the conditions will be better in April. Thanks to all that made a QSO with me today on the Appalachian Trail in PA. 72 & 73 Ron Polityka vvv Eastern Pennsylvania QRP Web Page vvv EPA QRP #1 ARRL Life Member |
