Posted by: Ron Polityka Posted On: 03/10/01 Subject: Update: Appalachian Trail Alert for Sunday 3/11/01 Message Posted: Hello, Sunday, March 11, 2001 I should be on the AT between 11 AM &12 noon or 16:00 & 17:00 UTC. I will be starting out on 21.060 to give Europe and anyone west of PA a chance to work me. I will limit my time on each band to a one hour operation. Then I will jump over to 14.060 to give the western US a chance to work me from the AT. After an hour on 20 meters I will jump back to 15 meters. If I have already worked you from the AT, I will be more than happy to exchange the signal report. But I would like to move on to give other stations the chance to work me from the AT. My location depends on if I can get my K2 up and running today. If I am AT bound with a K2, I will be going to the location East of Route 501. If I can't get the K2 finished by this evening I will be going to the Route 183 location with my TS-50S. I will post my operating location on Sunday morning. I am working on another year of operation from the AT in each month of the year. So far I have one year under the wire! Hope to hear you then from the AT in PA. 72 & 73 Ron Polityka vvv Eastern Pennsylvania QRP Web Page vvv EPA QRP #1 ARRL Life Member |
