It is a Fairchild NC7SB3157, an SPDT analog multiplexer. It takes a TTL drive signal, has 10 ohms 'on' resistance, and is good to 250 MHz! This looks like it will have as good or better dynamic range as a diode ring mixer, with much less power consumption, and no transformers! The only drawback is that it is only available in a TINY surface mount package.
