If you're going to work mostly evening/night, I'd recommend 40 meters. If you think you might be on in the daytime once in awhile, take a look at Elecraft's K-1 www.elecraft.com You could build a 2-band rig for 20 and 40 meters. No; I have no connection with Elecraft other than being a customer.
