George,

80/40 are the way to go at night and 20 and 30 during the day. Am not too sure about 17 and up as I don't normally work the upper bands.

The best part is that you are coming back at a time of much inovation in the QRP world. Rigs are more plentiful and the people are great. Welcome back!
