I am also behind a firewall and can not use the chat room.

I'll try to get a chance to talk with one of the sys guys today and find out if there is any way to solve the problem.

That AOL chat thing, Instant Messenger or whatever it's called can be configured to work but it just times out after a few munutes of non use! That renenders it usuless!

Firewalls are a pain but .edu addresses are having to do what they have to do to slow down the hackers!
