Many messages in "Forums" consist of ONLY the title. Inserting "nt" or a dash "-" at the end of the title informs readers: "There is NO TEXT in the message section; Don't bother opening the message section." When the title is followed with a "+" or "(+)" or with dots "...." that is to inform readers that text does exist in the message section. This info is for newbies.
