Steve-thanks for the info. I went to your site and listened to buzzsaw09.wav. It didn't sound like the flutter-warbley noise that I heard. Then last night, again on 40, I hear again. This time I bypassed the filter (I am using a HB 40m xcvr based on a NN1G design)(see picture below) and sure enough, I heard the buzzing sound. So Steve, it appears that I was being plagued by the Buzzsaw! It sure puts a damper on operating! Tnx again es best 72------
