I have had a couple submissions to me as Pres of ARCI about the problems with the current 6m qrp freqs. Unfortunately, we (arci) are not the sole keepers of the freqs so we have to get some of the other big clubs to go along with any changes. I don't see this as a big problem for 6m, actually. If .096 works, I'll bet others would go along with it in a flash. What we need to do is have a couple folks take charge of running this rabbit. There is a chap in Miama whose name I can't remember who is extremely involved with 6m. He actually came up with the term "magic band" for 6m some years ago and is now a part owner of a company that produces the HamWhip antennas (not HamStick) - those are from S.C. If anyone knows him, pls drop me his call. We can have our "committee" contact him to see that .096 is really "clear". We are speaking here of only the CW calling freq. We also need to examine the phone/ssb freq while we are at it to make sure it is still good. Once we have these worked out, then we can run it up the flag pole around here and in Europe to see that it "sticks". Any takers to volunteer? BTW the 18.069 that George has on the NJ site is simply not correct. It should be .096. In order to make it keep a copy of the correct freqs, I have made a copy and posted it on the QRR ARCI site.
