Steve posted his response on the qrp-l in response to some proposals for QRP contesting. I think he has a great idea. Can the clubs that sponser these events consider this idea?Sam AE4GX

I got a better idea. The original concept of the fox hunt was to get
people on the air durring the week. But what usually happens, they
work or try to work the fox, then turn the radio off.
Instead, if everyone who works the fox (or not) then went off and
called CQ and made a few contacts, there would be all kinds of
activity around the QRP frequencies. Not only would this then make
the fox harder to find, but those who wanted to improve thier code
speed or just have a qso, would know there are pleanty of people on
the air that night, either calling CQ or looking for a QSO.
Lets make it not just fox hunt night, but qso night too! Say, what if
in order for your fox contact to count, you also have to have at
least two "regular" qso's that night? (before, after or durring the
hunt)
