Though I don't have it any longer, I used a
Blue Sky Engr. freq. display for my Argosy 525
(external).

I used one of the spare RCA jacks to output the VFO
signal (via a small shielded cable inside the rig).
This worked reasonably well. The Blue Sky Engr.
display normally displays either the MHz reading or
the KHz reading (not both simultaneously).
Thus, I kept it on the Khz display (using the rig
freq. selector switch to indicate the band / Mhz freq.)

Unfortuately, I don't specifically remember where I
connected into the signal chain to pick off the signal
for the counter. I am still using one of these w/ my
TT C22. On one of these, the only place to
effectively pick off the signal was at the VFO (PTO)
output (This may have been in the C22). I believe I
may have been able to pick it off of a stage following
the first xtal mixer stage in the 525 (following the
VFO).
